The drinking and feeding stations can be equipped with further essential features such as the food access
control, different food containers or even with housings for automated body weight monitoring.
- Food access according to a time schedule, food amounts specified or a combination of both parameters
- Software supported yoked or paired feeding experiment designs
- Standard food containers for pellets, powdered food or high fat diets are available in different sizes
for mice and rats
- Sleeping houses as an enriched environment feature can be attached to the cage lid or a standard
weighing sensor
- Weighing sensors can also be attached to a metabolic cage
– mouse or rat size – for simultaneous measurement of liquid and food consumption
- Detailed analysis tools such as meal analysis, deviation etc.

The TSE Systems user friendly software package supports the experiment with e.g. various test specifications,
setting of sensitivity limits, the display of data as table or graph.
