The CaloSys calorimetry module of the LabMaster system offers all the features necessary for professional
calorimetric investigations in metabolic research.
- Automatic recording and analyzing of metabolic parameters via open-circuit indirect calorimetry
- O2 consumption & CO2 production, Respiratory Exchange Rate (RER) and Energy
Expenditure (EE) in small laboratory animals
- Special CaloCages with spatial separation of air inlet, air outlet and sample air, home cage based
design, various sizes
- High-speed gas sensoring unit for short sample intervals – approx. 40 sec per calorimetry cage /
animal
- CaloWheel as forced running wheel with sealed housing to perform exercise calorimetry with programmable
speed profiles
- Special CaloTreadmill with sealed housing, programmable speed profiles, electric stimulus option for
exercise calorimetry

A user-friendly CaloSys calorimetry software module controls the experimental procedure and collects the
measuring data. The measured data file is updated after each measuring interval. Measured values are displayed
in data tables and graphs.
