The drinking & feeding behavior and the body weight of the test animal are measured by means of
high-precision weighing sensors attached on top of the cage lids.
- Sensors can be used either as drinking, feeding or body weight stations with a drinking bottle, food
container or weighing house attached – also applicable with sealed CaloCages
- Easy access to liquid or food for young, old or obese mice / rats
- Continuous long-term monitoring of food and liquid consumption by amount and time, meal analysis
- Three or more sensors per cage, easy and flexible food or liquid choice experiments
- Automated liquid or food access control per time or amount, e.g. for paired / yoked feeding experiments
- All standard home cages are useable without any modification
- The FeedTime system provides training for defined feeding rhythms in home cages by time-controlled
food access
|
The basic standard configuration is the dual-sensor home cage system with one drinking and one feeding station.
For choice preference investigations 3 or even more sensor stations can be mounted on the home cage lid; with
5 sensors stations you can offer 3 basic diets, water and also monitor body weight.
