Voluntary (passive) and forced (active) running wheels can be integrated to provide additional parameters for motor
activity, motor skill testing, exercise calorimetry and other purposes.
- Voluntary wheels detect each revolution with 90° resolution as well as rotation to the left or right
- An "enabled / disabled" mode with a time and distance control provides a new reward feature
- The voluntary wheels can be equipped with a PC controlled rotation resistance for applying different work loads
- Wheels drums with variable rod distances allow refined automated motor skills testing (new paradigm)
- CaloWheels surrounded by a sealed housing can be used for speed-controlled calorimetric exercise tests
|
Modular running wheel systems are available for experiments with time and distance control, with adjustable work loads and
with pre-programmed speed profiles. The systems are supplied with the PhenoMaster / LabMaster software package which can be
used to specify a user-defined experiment design.
