Sleep Deprivation Wheel

Sleep deprivation is a method to analyze both sleep-related behavior and physiology and psychotic conditions as a consequence of the deprivation. In this system, the animal is forced to move on a slow motor-driven running wheel, a method less intrusive and stressful than for example the platform or pendulum methods. Feeding and drinking supplies for long-term observation are provided. The wheel can also be used in forced exercise studies.
