Langendorff / Working Heart Systems

Isolated perfused heart studies are a proven and valuable tool in assessing cardiac chronotropic (effect on heart rate), ionotropic (contractile strength) and vascular drug effects.

Due to their flexible modular design our systems according to Langendorff are suited for all animal species including mice and can be operated with constant pressure and constant flow, in recirculating and non-recirculating mode.

• They can also be configured for "Working Heart" studies
• The setup includes all transducers, glassware and accessories to measure all essential parameters such as LVP, dpdt, systolic, diastolic and mean aortal pressure, ECG, heart rate as well as coronary and aortal flow
• For comfortable computerized data acquisition and analysis the setup can be easily connected to our BioSys software package
